The naga also have a tendancy to agro from below the floor and magically appear beside you or start attacking you without actually comming into line of sight. I was killed once because of this.

Good xp though counting the reward and what you kill while doing the quest.

Time for Hydrocane (staff from Viscious Fallout in Gnomeregan, allows underwater breathing).

I could solo it out with a lvl41 tauren warrior without any breathhelping stuff. It was really hard but if you dive sometimes and search for the way, when kill all the nagas, you will have enough breath to get each after each.

Warning: the Raiders can net you, very inconvienent if not using underwater potions...

I just did this one, and was glad for my https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=20557"">(Item #20557). I ate candies until I got the pirate version of https://vanillawowdb.com/?spell=24926"">(Spell #24926) for its swim speed buff, then drank an https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=5996"">(Item #5996). After that it just became another collection quest. The naga ran interference, but I needed to kill them for https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=664"">(Quest #664) anyway. The twenty minutes for the pumpkin treat buff was just enough for me to complete this quest, Drowned Sorrows, as well as https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=666"">(Quest #666). Obviously this isn't an option during the rest of the year, but if you happen to be ready for this quest during the holiday, take advantage of it.

One caveat for this quest is it does have an unmentioned prequisite: https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=663"">(Quest #663) from the ogre https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=2766"">(NPC #2766). It takes maybe ten seconds to complete, but because it's a lower level quest than the others in the area, you may not see the ""!"".

WOOT! I just did this quest and i have to say thank you for the advice it made it alot easier.
I found that approaching the 'Maiden Head' from below (^_-) through the hole in the hull was very helpful as it seemed easier to kill the monsters on the lower decks and then swim up slowly near the mast in the central area and sneak the Maidens Chart (it is resting on the mast, thankfully the items shine in the murky waters making em easy to pick out) out from under the Naga guard.
In fact it was also a piece of cake to enter the 'Silver Pine' in a similar fashion. Kill the 2 Naga here one at a time and grab the Log Book. (When i tried to enter from the top and go in deeper to grab the items located in the lower decks, it always got rly messy with random monsters attacking through the floor or walls :( )
Then enter both boats from the top deck killing Naga as u go wander down the stairs to get the other two items, which i found to be exactly where advertised by the other posts.
Combining this quest with https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=664 Drowned Sorrows & https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=666 Sunken Treasures was the way i did it. Only cost me the price of one https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=18294 Elixir of Greater Water Breathing in AH and about 40 minutes of patient Naga killing. BEWARNED the Naga seem to follow u forever when things go a bit wrong and u need to escape to regroup. Solo'd with a level 40 Priest :p I was rly dreading dying and having to go buy another potion but it all worked out in the end. I wish others trying this quest luck <3

Remember to look for openings on the side instead of crawling through the ships, fewer naga to fight off. You can usually locate your target by peering in through cannon ports or holes in the ship. Especially when going to the bottom of Spirit of Silverpine, there is a gaping hole in the west side of the ship on the bottom level; you can get the log and only have to kill one naga.

Solo'd as a L37 feral druid.

For this quest series, swim form = win. Lets you catch your breath between mobs, and provides that quick out for when you're NOT in between mobs and have to keep from drowning.

And I will second Thaelir in regards to the holes in the bottoms of the ships. Cuts down on a LOT of the mobs you have to bash your way through.

Maurice's guide at the top is great. The only thing I would change is don't use the stairs--the sides of the boat have windows you can go through (I even got my tauren through them) and help you save a lot of time and breathing.

For those of you without water breathing, note that there is an air-bubble fissure at 22,90, inside the sunken building.

Only thing that was really annoying were the nagas which - as it seems - have the ""great"" ability to move through walls. I can only agree with juicytruffle - combine this quest with the two other ones... and then never return to Faldir's Cove :-D

Yes, I finished the silverpine's 1 sec. before i ran out of air. 39 Fire Mage Gnome. Not very hard!

Easily soloed as a 38 combat rogue

Counts towards Eastern Kindoms Loremaster

Not all that difficult as a rogue. Subtle rogue, slipped past all the naga, sapped a couple of them, in/out through the ship ports (windows). Had to fight/kill one naga, sapped three of them, that was all it took.
