Towers and Bunkers

Capture an enemy tower, then return to Corporal Teeka Bloodsnarl in the Alterac Mountains.

Description

Towers and bunkers are important positions, and we must capture and hold them all! So to that end, I want you to attack a bunker that is controlled by the enemy.

To do that, enter one with an Alliance banner. You will see another banner inside. Pull out that banner, and a white Horde banner will appear in its place. Well done!

At that point your task for me will be complete, but if you hold the place long enough, and if the Alliance doesn't take it back, then it will be destroyed!

You haven't yet assaulted a bunker, <name>! Are you waiting for others to claim your glory?

Completion

I heard of your mission's success! That pleases me...

Our troops can now charge forward with impunity, and show the Alliance that Alterac Valley is no place for them!

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 660 experience (39 60 at max. level)

Pretty simple, just capture any of the enemy towers in Alterac Valley and it will trigger this quest as completed.

This can be difficult at first, as it's likely players with faster mounts will capture them faster than you. Just persevere, or use cunning and/or swiftness pots to ensure you get there first.

Just to clarify, the tower doesn't actually have to 'cap' as in being destroyed, you just need to contest it.

One of several ""scaling"" quests which grants more exp as you level up, instead of less.

For example, most quests are red at one point, turn orange, yellow, green and then eventually gray as you outlevel it, and slowly decreasing the amount of exp you earn. This quest starts out yellow, and remains that color no matter what level you are. As such, it grants a gradually increasing amount of exp depending on what level you turn it in which is seemingly based on the amount of exp a ""typical"" yellow quest at that level would give.

8460 exp @ level 51 with the 20% heirloom exp bonus

I picked up this quest and https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=7082 The Graveyards of Alterac today and received credit for both while running through the Field of Strife. I'm not sure if you need to be within a certain distance to get credit, but it is possible to get without taking the tower yourself.
