Description

Let me tell you something about Frost Oil: nothing can keep an engine or gears from overheating quite like it.

Its cooling properties are extraordinary, and its longevity as a lubricant without equal. That's not all: it also aids in retaining enchantments on magical items.

I need a vial of it to increase the magical capacity of my shackles and make them powerful enough to stop our summoned friend from killing us all.

Bro'kin, a goblin friend of mine, can teach you to make it. He's in Alterac.

Have you found the oil I need? It would be so helpful if you were able to find some.

Completion

Stupendous! This should be the perfect coolant for my new bracers. If the enchantments don't last a century, then I'll give all my belongings to Servo.

All the mages of the Assembly will be in such awe after I finish this, <name>. You just wait and see.

I spent the good part of an hour fighting through those dang elites in alteric, and i find the little goblin guy Bro'kin, and nothing, absolutely nothing. I am peeved, because the first post up there, made it sound like you could buy it from him anytime. Well just so everyone knows, it is limited, so if your gonna buy it from him, good luck. Or else you can spend 4-7g on AH and have it with no trouble at all. Thats what I did, and I wish I would have done it sooner. The Gyrochronatom runs about the same price, sometimes cheaper, be sure to grab it off AH too, or you will be spending a lot of your time searching for it.

The Gyrochronatom can be bought from the engineer supplier for 29 silver. It is a limited item however. As for the Frost Oil, check the AH or ask a alchemist to make it(x4 Khadgar's Whiskers, x2 Wintersbite)

For those of you who use the ""QuestHelper"" Mod There is no reagent vendor in Orgrimmar to buy this from, so don't run across the whole city to buy one where quest helper tells you to.

First, Ruins of Alterac is not in Arathi Highlands, it's in Alterac Mountains.

Second, Bro'kin is at 38.3, 38.9 in Alterac Mountains.

Third, Bro'kin sells the recipe for Frost Oil, he does not sell the Frost Oil itself.

If you're going to do this whole series of quest, you might want to stock up some items first.

Wowhead is not able to qualify this as a chain since there are 2 different questgivers, and completing one quest opens up for another.

This whole quest line counts towards the Loremaster of Eastern Kingdoms. So with a bit of preparation on ah, this is a quite efficient place to visit.

Currently waiting for Bro'kin to respawn the Frost Oil Recipe - so far its been 57 minutes and counting. So much for the claim its on a 10-15 minute cycle! Not for me it hasnt..... still waiting ......

For those of you using QuestHelper, don't. It's probably pointing you toward a mailbox in Stormwind or Org because people are buying it from the AH. That's why QH recognizes that as the point where you ""obtain"" it.

Standing where Bro'kin is, coords are 39.1 - 37.9, on top of the stone wall in Alterac Mountains, Ruins of Alterac... waiting for a respawn of the item.
