Enter Alterac Valley and defeat the dwarven general, Vanndar Stormpike. Then, return to Voggah Deathgrip in the Alterac Mountains.

Description

The Stormpike dwarves and their allies have invaded Alterac Valley, and we must drive them out! To win the battle for Alterac, we must defeat their general, Vanndar Stormpike!

You will find Vanndar in Dun Baldar, in the north of Alterac Valley.

Destroy him, <name>, and then return to me.

Completion

Well done, <name>! Stormpikes have no hope in this foolish invasion.

Hah! So far, all they've done is get their general killed!

Gains

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 995 experience (59 70 at max. level)

When this quest is completed, the quest Hero of the Frostwolf, https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=8272 https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=8272 which has you pick one of the pvp weapons, becomes available from Voggah.

With the 2.3 patch this quest now gives 15k XP! Also the quests still states that you need to kill Van. This is incorrect. You only need to win the AV. This makes completing this quest easy because with the 2.3 changes sometimes you will not even wind up at the end and you will win.

I went to this NPC at level 80.No quest was avalible.Is this quest avalible to all levels?

As of this posting, turning this quest in at level 61 got me 6 Gold and 16170 exp.

This quest is worth a whopping 308,700 XP at level 89. I finished off the last bar until 90 by doing all the AV quests, because they are worth nearly as much XP as the Dread Wastes quests.
