hunters should pick up the Bloodseeker at 51, then do the hunter quest in azshara, get the green polearm, and ure prepared to hellfire :)

No reason for a hunter to get the spear over the xbow unless they already have some boe epic ranged weapon. Bloodseeker is so amazingly overpowered at lvl 51 it's not even funny.

I actually took icebarbed, Bloodseeker is overpowered yes but i already had Heartseeking crossbow which is almost as good anyway so icebarbed was a welcome upgrade to my Grimlocks charge which i had been using for some time. if you don't have heartseeking crossbow however, I recommend getting Bloodseeker and using the Dire maul drop as your meelee weapon or else keep grimlock until 58 for an outlands replacement

Which lvl must I be to take the quest?

No need to complete any pre-quest to get this quest.

Just stopping in to say that I did this last night at 51 with my Warrior/Paladin team. The spear is awesome if you can get it right at 51. And AV was decent too. At 51-60 it seems like people are there for a reason, and are trying to work together (in our first game we had 7 people helping each other clear the caves for the insignia), not mindlessly trying to farm honor.

As a warrior, I would go for the CROSSBOW. For 2 reasons.

1:) If you consider respec, to a spec that does not use 2hands. The crossbow helps at any spec.

2:) If you like crossbows, this one's hard to replace. At least now, after BurningC.

Nothing for rogues...melee wise i dont want a crossbow!

is this quest still available to people? i thought i had read somewhere they were taking out the rewards for that quest; which would suck because getting that spear at lvl 51-52 is dopesauce.

Or, since you're going to be in the queue for AV for like days (cuz no one is your lvl and wants to do AV...), just quest and level and get to outlands by lvl 58? Agree or no?

Did they remove this? I went to get it and the npc wasnt there so i figured he had been killed, i waited for 2 hours for the npc that gives it to show up where it says he is and he never appeared

Where is this NPC again? I have a 48 hunter and i am looking for him.
