A Donation of Runecloth

Progress

<name>, you've been a tremendous contributor to our cloth drive. As we work hard to replenish our reserves, one form of cloth remains critically low - runecloth. We are in absolutely dire need of it, and we hope that you will be able to help us as you have in the past!

If you are willing, please bring me what runecloth you can spare. We'll initially accept a single donation of sixty, and then we'll go from there.

Completion

Fantastic - these will go right to use, I assure you. Thank you again for your assistance! We'd certainly be lost without you.

With all the donations you've made, I would certainly process any additional runecloth donations you care to make in the future. Just be sure to check in with me, and I'll personally make sure that your good deeds won't go unrecognized!

Gains

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 660 experience (39 60 at max. level)
  • 150 Reputation with Darnassus

Each of the races has a seperate NPC that gives this quest. The NPC is usually located near the tailoring trainers in the race's capital. Turning in the quest to that race's NPC also gives you a significant amount of reputation for that race.

After the initial hand-in, this quest becomes repeatable. For every stack you hand in (as opposed to the three stacks initially), you get the same amount of reputation per runecloth turned in as the original quest.

Also note that you cannot receive this quest until you have completed the first 3 he has to offer. A Donation of Wool, A Donation of Silk, and A Donation of Mageweave. After completing these 3, the runecloth quest will become available.

As people have sawowhead:1,id: You have to complete the three other donations, (Wool - Silk - Mageweave) Before you can donate Runecloth. If you have done so, this donation will be aviable at lvl 50. The runecloth donation is repeatable, means that you can continue to donate runecloth. I don't know if you still can donate it, after you are exalted. However, who wanna donate if you are exalted?! The people you have to talk to, to donate this stuff is allways found in a tailor shop. If you ask a guard for direction, they might lead you to one, which have a ""donate guy""

All the ""A donation of ..."" quests give 350 reputation.

The repeatable ""Additional Runecloth"" only gives 75 reputation.
To get from Revered to Exalted that means 280 stacks of Runecloth.

It is easier to start doing the Night Elf starting area quests (Teldrassil + Darkshore) because they are very easy and fast to complete as a high level and still give 150/250/350 rep a piece.

look to be honest if u know from when u create the character that you want to hav another races mount then jes go to ur race capital, and take the easiest route to the other races starting area. Do this at lvl 1. Thats what i did as a dwarf with nelves.

These are the easiest routes from capital to Darnassus;

Ironforge: Deeprun Tram to Stormwind, boat to Auberdine, boat to Rutheran Village, portal to Darnassus.

Stormwind: Boat to Auberdine, boat to Rutheran Village, portal to Darnassus.

Exodar: Boat to Auberdine, boat to Rutheran Village, portal to Darnassus.

(By the way ""portal"" refers to a pinkish gateway that leads to Darnassus)

As of this patch this DOES count towards the loremaster achivement for Kalimdor. Of course, only for the first hand-in of 60, not the repeatable.

Did all the cloth hand-ins today in darnassus and exxodar and they all count towards the loremaster achivement.

GL to those that have just a few left and ignored these.

Friendly to Exalted using only cloth turn-ins

Once unlocked, the repeatable https://vanillawowdb.com/?search?q=a+donation+of+runecloth%3f Runecloth donation quests reward 75 rep for 1 stack of Runecloth.

6000 (Friendly) 80 turn-ins
12000 (Honored) 160 turn-ins
21000 (Exalted) 280 turn-ins

39000 total rep needed (520 turn-ins)

The initial cloth quests reward 350 rep each

-350 (60 Wool Cloth)
-350 (60 Silk Cloth)
-350 (60 Mageweave Cloth)
-350 (60 Runecloth)

That knocks 1400 rep off (~18 turn-ins)

So that's a total of 502 stacks of Runecloth

In summary, to level from Friendly to Exalted using only cloth quests, you will need the following mats:

https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=2592 Wool Cloth * 3 stacks
https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=4306 Silk Cloth * 3 stacks
https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=4338 Mageweave Cloth * 3 stacks
https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=14047 Runecloth * 505 stacks

If you're lucky enough to be a Human, knock off 10% (around 50 stacks)
