Some of the Deadwood furbolgs wear a distinctive headdress that may be used as a means of proof in thinning their numbers. Bring me a feather from any headdresses you acquire; for every set of five you bring me, you will earn recognition amongst the Timbermaw.

Deadwood Headdress Feather (5)

Progress

While you have proven yourself to me, you may need to continue to work toward proving yourself to the suspicious brethren of my tribe. To that end, I may be able to continue assisting you.

These mobs are heavily farmed, I suggest finding off peak times to grind them. Also just killing the mobs gives you rep, so like all turn in quests for rep, hold on to the turn ins until kills don't give rep anymore.

This way you minimize the amount of time spent grinding rep overall.

To state it clearly, hold onto these feathers and also the beads until you hit revered. At revered you no longer get rep from just killing and feathers and beads are the only way to increase rep. They stack in lots of 250 (actually I'm sure the beads do but feathers may be 200, can't log in to check right now) so it doesn't take up much inventory.

Timbermaw rep has been doubled for repeatable hand-ins, first time quests and kills.

This now awards 300 rep (330 for humans) per turn-in. That means that as a human you will need to save a mere 320 https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=21377 Feathers for Revered to hand in and reach Exalted -- 350 as a non-human.

all of the 3 repeatable quests give the same amount of rep(300/completion to be precise)
https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=8466 Feathers for Grazle
https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=8467 Feathers for Nafien
https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=8469 Beads for Salfa
so my advice for you is to do the first one https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=8467 Feathers for Nafien, because:
1)Mobs are easier to kill(between 47-50)
2)Mobs are very close to the NPC https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=11554 Grazle
3)There are plenty of mobs to kill

Good luck!

Edit: Finally i know how to proper link!

TURN-INS GIVE 300 REPUTATION NOW. YOU ONLY NEED 350 FEATHERS OR BEADS to get through revered.
Ignore any guides below saying that you need more. Those guides are old.
Mobs only give reputation through Honored, so save your feathers/beads until you get 350 total, at which point you can start turning in the excess.

You can continue to repeat this quest even after reaching Revered. The mobs no longer give rep, nor do the ones in Winterspring that drop the beads. If you goal is solely to grind out rep then I would highly recommend that you kill the low level mobs to gain rep until Revered, then turn in all of your feathers, then continue with the feather turn ins since there is no reputation benefit from killing higher mobs. This should save you time.

As of patch 4.0.3a, this gives 2000 rep per turn in. The mobs that drop the feathers give rep into exalted as well.
