Narain Soothfancy in Tanaris wants you to bring him 20 Arcanite Bars, 10 Elementium Ore, 10 Azerothian Diamonds, and 10 Blue Sapphires.

Description

Well that took a little longer than expected. Now let me see what this ledger says.

<Narain silently reads the ledger, periodically mumbling under his breath.>

The good news is that I am 99% certain that I am capable of creating an arcanite buoy that will function to your specifications. This is, of course, wholly dependant on the bad news.

The bad news is that I'm going to need a lot of arcanite, elementium ore, and rare gemstones.

Bring me what I need and I will craft the buoy.

Arcanite buoys don't just make themselves, <name>. And NO, you cannot borrow some money.

Completion

A deal is a deal. I sure hope you know what you are getting yourself into, <name>. This is an awful lot of trouble to go through to do some fishing.

This quest is part of the AQ Gates openning questline. You have to gather these materials so the gnome can make you an arcanite buoy that you can use to summon the shark boss in Azhara. The boss is easily killed by a 25man and it drops the blue scepter shard.

when i got pugs together to complete this quest i made sure they knew the ore was on reserve and had it set to Master looter. Then you just loot all bodies that you can loot and you'll find them. Also ninja pulls will get the group killing. Like you said their IQ drops so they just kill whatever is coming at them.

I pull + fade and then let the tanks worry about it :D

I have also done all the quests up to this one and I know I'm suppose to pick it up from Narain Soothfancy, but when I click on him he just tells me I can train from the book on the table. :( I am Revered with Brood of Nozdormu.

I currently have this quest in my log. I'm certain it's a mistake but for whatever reason my map is highlighting an area in Un'goro Crater. I have every item in my possession except for the Ingots. All the Arcanite Bars, Azerothian Diamonds and Blue Sapphires are accounted for.

Anyways, I'm sure this doesn't mean that there's a way to get the Ingots from the volcano...ha ha ha.

...is there? o.o

Quest has been removed - From a GM ticket request when i couldn't attain the quest

Thank you for submitting your ticket request regarding the quest The Good News and The Bad News. I wanted to let you know that this quest is no longer available in game. I am sorry for the any inconvenience this may have caused you.

So much for completing the last 4 quests to do my AQ line... Thats what i get for waiting 5 years to hand in the last few quests
