Description

Yes, it is true that I am familiar with this enchantment you require, <class>. Yet I'm not one to give out favors freely, even if you were sent here by an old friend.

I hold nothing but hatred and contempt for our brutish ogre neighbors. And not only them, I hate the followers of Omokk just as much as I hate those that follow King Gordok.

I want you to kill them. Kill lots of them! Bring me the beads they carry around their neck as proof of your work. Do this and we shall talk about your request.

Best way to complete this quest is to farm DM north (non tribute run). Beads also drop from the ogres in the DM courtyard and LBRS, but will take you a much longer time.

According to WoWWiki, the droprate is as follows:
Outside of DM: 1/50
DM North: 1/10
LBRS: 1/7

""Although the drop rate is much higher in Lower Blackrock Spire, there are also far fewer ogres in that instance. It will require multiple runs of either instance to obtain all of the Ogre Warbeads required."" :)

Not looking forward to do this, tho.. Hoorah for yet another instance grind :(

Took me about 5 hours and 588 combined Ogre-Mages, Maulers and Enforcers to get the 25 beads. I did all of it outside of DM in the courtyard area and in the hallway-ish place right before the courtyard area.

I disagree with the above comments. I tried clearing the entire courtyard as well as the outlying areas and only recieved a single warbead. I then tried going into DM north and was able to get the remaining beads without even having to clear the whole place. Took me less than an hour, courtyard clearing included. So if you're able to solo DM north, or you have someone to help you, I strongly recommend going there instead.

BEWARE: Once I gathered my beads I looked at the in-game quest helper. It said to turn in at Dalaran Crater in Alterac Mountains. This is a glitch. The quest turns in at the Library in Dire Maul, same place you picked it up. Just trying to save you the half hour of meaningless travel I endured. *sigh*

Think they've bumped the drop rate on these, dropping every 2-3 kills. Only took about 15 mins and didn't have to reset. Was killing ogres in DM North.

I agree with SirPosty about the upped drop rate. I had about a one in three drop rate in DM North, killing ~80 ogres for 25 beads. Not so bad anymore! The error about the turn-in still remains. Don't try to go to Dalaran Crater; just go back to the same guy in DM.
