Description

I must warn you, <name>, this matter must stay between us. The satyr are enough of an embarrassment to us already, and this one is much too close to home.

He is called Lord Melenas. He resides in the nearby cave of Fel Rock where he has gathered a large group of grell warriors. His heart is black as night, and he plots something most foul.

You must find him within his nearby cave just to the north of here, and bring me his head.

You can find the entrance to the cave with the coordinates 54, 52. Melenas is a level 8 Satyr that is just inside up on a ledge. There are many Grells inside the cave, so get a party if you are around level 6 and don't want a lot of hardship.

Soloed as a 8th level druid. on the cliff I managed to pull only 1 add, Melenas strikes like mad, but 1 pot and high healing did their work. i looted the head and the add eventually resetted, leaving me 20% health and mana

I soloed as a level 7 druid, the trick for druids is to pop rejuvenation right before the fight, then hit him with as many wraths as you can before he and the grells start hitting you, then start moonfire spamming. I managed to kill him, loot his head, then I died afterwards, after just spirit rez and hand it in.

Lord Melenas is lika a druid. He can change into a cat form and he can also cast rejuvenation on himself.

If you are borderline for taking him, i.e. unable to handle the adds and him, use the pool to your advantage.

For example, using a hunter, begin unloading your shots on one add and make sure it dies. Then jump into the pool to restet Melanas and the second add, if it also pulled. Repeat.

This should work for any character that can kill one add and live.

I also waited around for quite a while as grells respawned and Melenas didn't. And I left and came back and checked and still no Melenas. I did see him the very first time I went in... when he killed me! Someone else came in, killed him, and that was the last I saw of him.

The grells drop a lot of linen, so I was glad I had picked up First Aid before going in. Between killls I made bandages, which was a productive way to wait for mana. It's not a bad idea to kill the nearest grell and then the next nearest, loot the closest, kill the next nearest, loot the closest, etc. Otherwise you may be attacked while looting.

To find Melenas, keep to the right on going into the cave. The cave seems identical to the one in the Orc/Troll starting area. After crossing the water, he's the first ledge on the left. He'll probably be hidden and will emerge when you attack the grell. The second ledge on the left had a treasure chest, so you might do that one first.

I found him at 52.8, 50.2. I normally find him at the ledge overlooking the pool. Leaving two places that i know he spawns at. This location is the same way to get to the other ledge, just you turn left at the fork after the waterfallish like pond thing. Horrible description but you'll know what i'm talking about when you see it.

I did this as a lvl 7 rogue, died a lot while pulling adds, but got it after about 2 wipes.
Just need to say, Shadowmeld and Stealth are amazing. =)

Yes, I found him at a second spawn point further in the cave. In the largest room, with water in the middle. Right under where the cliff drops off if you follow the path on the right side to the end.

Anyone know the full story behind this guy? I know night elves and satyr and trolls have somewhat of a common history? But I'm curious how a satyr became a druid. Probably what the embarrassment is about (mentioned in the quest text).

For high levels going back to complete this for whatever reason (Loremaster, Darnassus rep, etc), be careful not to kill him too quickly. I had to remove my weapon and damage dealing buffs and unarmed melee him before he would drop his head.

Go NW from 57.6, 55.4 to find cave entrance. You can come from the West to but theres a few turns. I think he moves around but I went Left once in the cave and he was at bottom near edge of water. Maybe it's been nerfed but I soloed as a lvl 8 Druid with low lvl gear and it was easy. Most of the mobs are only lvl 6 or 7. You cant pull the left Mob with out pulling lord Mel so I just killed him first then healed and killed the 2 mobs with him.

I came in as a level 4 priest (with 3 BoAs) and came out as a level 6 :)

If threggil is in the cave kill him and keep the machete, it sells on the AH for at least 3 gold because it is used for level 1 twinks.

Easy quest as a lvl 8 rogue. Just find him, backstab him, and finish him. If you are dead before you can receive the loot just walk to your corpse, ressuruct, grab his head and die again. Then ressuruct at the graveyard.

I must warn you, &lt;name&gt;, this cave is a real pain. You'll have to fight your way though waves of add spawn, frantically looking for the quest mob. After four of five death runs your https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=932 Twisted Hated for this quest, and cave designer, will know no bounds.

This guy is easy to kill for a rogue.
First take the Grell down and then go stealth and just kill him but there will be 1 add attacking you but dont mind it just go for him

yay, at last this quest is no longer a pain in the ass. Stick to the left all the way and you will find him and the Ireroot Seeds you get from Nature's Reprisal makes the grellkin a doddle to deal with.

all i did was use holy word power sheild then keep using smite in him
make sure u target him not his minion as he can kill you whilst u are distracted with whoever he is with
