Description

A few weeks ago I was picking herbs far from my house, and a band of ogres attacked me! I ran, and I was forced to leave behind a crate of precious tools and herbs.

After they chased me off, the ogres swaggered back to the ogre mound in southern Duskwood. I'm sure my crate is somewhere near the mound.

Please, <name>, retrieve this crate for me for I miss it sorely.

Kassiel's coords are spot on. Visually, the crates are to the left of the Ogre mound entrance when you are facing it, behind the fallen log.

Even though the quest is marked as a level 30 quest it was actually pretty easy to do at level 27.

Dont try to kill all the ogres so they will drop the crate. Cause they wont. They are good for grinding for silk cloth. But they will never drop it. Find the crate, its near the opening of the cave. As shown in the Screenshot.

I didnt even killed ogres...if you come from the west,on the hills,you can get right to the crate without killing any ogres...juts go on the hills,get near the cave,get down for the crate,and you can even get up back on the hill.Not one ogre killed.

just sneak around the mountain and i easily soloed at 24 on a hunter, need a bit of running away at the end but no deaths, only had to kill 2 of em for the easy solo

done it at lvl 24, just sneak arround them all the way to the back, there will be a big stone you hide behind it untill 1 of the big guys moves away then you quickly grab it, i used Hand of Protection on my self and got away safely :)

Contrary to the statement above, this quest is still available and will count towards ?achievement=1676"">(Achievement #1676) and ?achievement=4907"">(Achievement #4907)

The crate is still in the same place as it was before, and the quest start and hand in point is still the same :)

Completed with a 28 druid. I just prowled in, picked up the chest and didn't move until I could activate prowl again. Headed out without any problems.

I think the label indicating this is no longer available is incorrect. I just received and completed today (Feb 11, 2012), so unless it's SOON going to be unavailable, disregard that it's not available. Map location is still correct as well.

I just did the quest, so dont know about the ""marked obsolete"".
But i did have trouble looting the crate. I got the ""opening"" cast bar and the character bended as to loot but nothing happened. I killed a orgre, didnt help. looted the ogre and then i could suddenly loot the crate. wierd.

so if it doesnt work for you. try killing/looting ogres around it.
