The guy you have to talk to after this quest is in the same building. After the turn in, you have to go back and forth between these two, then the quest chain for Bride of the Embalmer starts.

Confirmed Stitches spawns as soon as you start the https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=251"">(Quest #251) (Translate Abercrombie's Note) quest. Once he hands you the note back to give to Ello the mayor. He spawns behind the big crate if you are facing Abercrombie. If you have 2 accounts like I do, you could place one character by the crate, while the other does the quest and you could see Stitches spawn and then kill him.

By the way he is yellow (i.e. neutral) when he spawns. He doesn't reach hostile (i.e. red) until he gets to the road. In addition, he runs really fast towards Darkshire while neutral, but slows down when he turns hostile.
