Description

So you think your hunting skills are in tip-top shape? I can put them to the test in a jiffy. Head out into that jungle and kill 10 Stranglethorn Raptors. We'll see just how much of a big game hunter you are.

And no, I won't tell you where you can find them! Locating the beasts is half the challenge.

Progress

I never met a hunter who got any kills by standing around the campfire. Were you planning on killing those Stranglethorn Raptors or were you hoping they would die of old age?

The raptors can be found on the plateu south and east of the Ruins of Zul'Kunda. Around the area of 28,15.

Easy solo as level 33 Dwarf Warrior.

This chain yields one of the best chest items for a 29 rogue twink that you can get.

Since you can't get the quest until you are almost 29, take a 70 with you so you won't get much exp due to the level gap between you. I used my Hunter so I could track the named guy, and that worked out well.

It's well worth the reward, and if you have a 70 to run you, it's a quick and easy chain.

Soloed the first two parts of this quest, and up to the third on tiger and panther mastery as a level 29 hunter in random AH greens. All the +pet stamina talents and such had my pet at about 1700 health, and creative use of aspect of the viper, mend pet, and freezing trap allowed me to kill mobs relatively quickly, each giving 200 EXP. I went from just turned 29 to 30 in about half an hour.

I imagine it'd be a bit harder on a PVP server, try to do it on an off-hour. A warlock could probably pull this off as well.

Really easy... if you're on a NON pvp server!

I'm on a pvp server and get ganked by at least 2 alliance (who attack only when i'm fighting another mob, typical) every 10 minutes i swear the alliance camp that camp.... but in any case, the foolish alliance aside, its easy xp

What he means by this is: I won't tell you. Locating your map button is half of the challenge.

Tried doing this quest to transmog the gloves... quest is either no longer offered or it's not offered to high levels
