Completion

Most impressive, <name>... the claw of Sharptalon could not have been easy to get! The Ashenvale Hunt goes well for you!

Sharptalon had long terrorized the peons from the lumber camps near its path as they tried to travel here to Splintertree Post. No doubt once the word gets out that it was you who put down the beast, many rousing songs of your bravery will be heard at campfires and lumber mills across Ashenvale!

This was pretty simple to do. Just head to coord. 48,32 in the lumber and click on the wooden box and then the little barrel that sits on top of it and your done. There are about 4 guards there but it's possible to pull each one individually.

If you're roughly 27-28 as long as you can get him about halfway and still live; drag him to the tiny forsaken encampment near his wandering path...the inflitraitors will attack, may take an attempt or two but its worth being able to complete the quest for more xp. I did this as BE paladin, not sure how well another type of class can do this. Make sure to heal yourselve immediately when his attention goes to NPCs, but afterwards continue to dmg him as much as possible.

The claw won't drop for you unless you have done The Ashenvale Hunt quest (https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=6383 https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=6383) from Senani Thunderheart (https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=12696 https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=12696). All that you have to do for that quest is just talk to her.

I found the Broken Barrel at 40, 47. Yes, it is pretty much due East of the Footlocker. You have to pass the Alexston Farmstead. The Broken Barrel is right next to the path, in front of an old chimney. I have submitted a screenshot.

As said, the Broken Barrel can be found at the coordinates ~ 40;47.

As you can see on the screenshot, the barrel is very close to the road. I had a little trouble finding it at first, because I was looking around the chimney mentioned in the clue.

One thing to note, after you click on the crate and place the termite barrel, you also have to click the barrel to complete the quest.

Great &amp; easy quests at 27. I'm BE Mage and was able to Solo Ursangous,Shadumbra and with one other person's help Sharptalon was a breeze.

First start by talking to Senani Thunderheart :

Then you kill the 3 mobs and each item will start its own quest turn in back to Senani @ Splintertree Post

Shadumbra's Head: just west of Raynetree Wood (54.54) 2200 xp

For Horde who happen to be in the area doing this quest line, there are 3 other quests in the area that can also be done by Horde, but which are indicated as Alliance only on Wowhead:

They are:and can be found from https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=392 Captain Grayson at the Westfall Lighthouse (30.1, 85.9).

These quests double up quite nicely with Captain Sander's questline.

Edit: The quests are now indicated as doable by both Horde and Alliance.

The paladin is inside the Uldaman instance itself, not the caves before the instance.

enter the instance, and you'll be in the 1st lobby. Turn right or left and continue to the 2nd lobby. In there, face front (the opposite of the entrance to the instance), and take the corridor to the left.
In there, take a few steps and the Paladin will be there.

The coords are 52,63, Uldaman coords.

I was kinda surprised, coz I soloed it as a 26lvl belf hunter with crappy gear mostly from ghostlands and that bow from Traitors Destruction (had it since 16lvl, 14.4dps bow, 832hp, 990mana. pet about 1050hp cat). It spawned next to me and attacked me, I sent pet, after a while I overaggroed my cat so the bird was attacking me, I tried to pull it to the UD camp there, but no action from them... I ended up with circa 15%hp, my pet with 500hp/1050 (used mend pet ofc:). It was probably just luck, dunno.
