Description

While I study those legends you acquired, gather for me implements of evil troll magic. Enter the territory of the Skullsplitter trolls, a second tribe to the distant south, and acquire Skullsplitter Fetishes from their Witchdoctors and Mystics.

Progress

Do you have those fetishes, <name>? They might hold the secret to Kurzen's degradation...I must know!

Completion

Thank you. I will study these fetishes and see if they hold the secret of Kurzen's fall into evil.

Gains

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 315 experience (18 90 at max. level)
  • 250 Reputation with Stormwind

But keep in mind that you only need to kill Mystics and Witch Doctors for those are the only ones who drop the quest item.

Looks like I got lucky on this quest, It was 100% drop rate for me. Killed Mystics around 46,41, didn't spot any of the Witch Doctors. Lots of damn hunters and axe-throwers around though.

There are some scattered ones at 43, 38. They are kinda spread apart, but it is better than fighting through the mess at the other places listed.

43.4, 34.5 is a great spot for mystics

I've been through Stranglethorn Vale on three alts now. Of all the quests I've done there, this quest is the absolute worst. The mobs you need are buried in among a ton of other humanoids, all of whom run for help. I've died on this quest more times than any other. Unless you really want that Tranquil Orb for the next quest, don't bother with this one.

Its a breeze with a lvl 39 hunter.The drop rate is pretty slow.I wouldnt do this quest unless u want the little orb given for completion of the quest after this.I found mine at 40,30

highly suggested that you use the recommended lvl. the Skullspliter trolls are in high density and you need to be able to handle gang-ups of 3 and even 4 trolls.

I notice now that the questitem drops from every mob that are in the same location as the mystics and doctors. Not sure when they added this, but must be pretty recently.
