You get these eggs (extraordinary, Fine, Ordinary, Bad) in Feralas, south of the Ruins of Isildien. They are pretty much in the hills...They are called the Hipporyph eggs and those are the ones to collect, however you can only hold one at a time. You then take them back to the egg lady in Tanaris, and put it in the egg-o-matic. That will give you 1/4 of the eggs. Hand them in.

To get the eggs, proceed to Feralas to the location of the https://vanillawowdb.com/?object=141931 Hippogryph eggs and collect one, then return it to Curgle.

Thank you to Alincoln for the egg location reference.

This egg quest does not count toward the Loremaster of Kalimdor achievement, even the first time it is completed. I don't know about the other specific egg quests yet but I suspect the result is the same.

I got my first egg in Feralas at 58.4/76.4 & also noted you could find them scattered along the craggy cliff walls near the ogres Ruins. I also noted specifically at 56.6/75.9. They are up high, above the grassy area that's chock full of hippogryphs that are all in the 43-45 level range. I also came upon the rare spawn hippogryph that's a level 48 (not an elite, just rare.)

If you have a way of summoning a vendor (mammoth, squire, scrapbot) you can vendor an egg, get another, vendor it and continue until you fill your buy back tab (10 or 12, can't remember which right now) grab one more and head to Gadgetzan to turn in. You then buy back an egg, turn it in and repeat until they are all gone.

This makes the process faster as far as rep goes, but still painfully slow. The only reason I really see is the chance at the rare recipes that can apparently drop from the Box of Goodies you get for an extraordinary egg. I personally received a Recipe: Elixir of Dream Vision from the box. Wowhead only shows info for 343 openings of the Box of Goodies, so I'm assuming the Extraordinary Eggs are rare.
