Stoley's Shipment

Bring Stoley's Shipment to Stoley in Steamwheedle Port.
Stoley's Shipment

Description

I owe "Sea Wolf" MacKinley in Booty Bay some rum, to settle a bet, but I'm all out of rum! Captain Cuergo stole my last shipment, and he has it stowed in that walled pirate town to the south.

If you can find my shipment of rum and return it to me, then I can prove to MacKinley that Kalimdor's booze beats the dirt out of Booty Bay!

Reward

Also, you get: 50

Progress

Did you find my shipment of rum, <name>?

Completion

Great, thanks for the shipment! Now MacKinley and I can finally settle our wager.

Gains

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 390 experience (23 40 at max. level)

The shipment is in the house to the right of the camp on the second floor but watch out as there is like 4-5 pirates just down the stairs that lead to the second floor and they can't be pulled one by one.

Fun little trick to complete this way under-level: run into the pirate camp and make a beeline for the two-story house to the right. If you can get close enough, and get killed, take your ghost upstairs to the bedroom and you can usually resurrect inside, loot the cargo and hearth (or, since I was on my shaman, Astral Recall) to safety.

Here's what I did. As mentioned above there are 4 quests to completed here. I completed Southsea Shakedown and Pirate Hats Ahoy! first.

Andre Firebeard requires a 4 pull though. I cleared all the single pulls around him them pulled his group towards the house for Stoley's Shipment. I killed and looted Firebeard then shortly after died to the rest of his group. Then when I came back, I res'd inside the house where the shipment is, got it, then hearthed out.

You get ""Stoley's Shipment"" from Stoley in Steamwheedle Port, but before you set off to get Stoley's Shipment, it may be a good idea to get these quests: WANTED: Andre Firebeard (https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=2875 https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=2875), Southsea Shakedown (https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=8366 https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=8366), and
Pirate Hats Ahoy! (https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=8365 https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=8365), because you have to go to the same place for all of them. There's really no need to worry about the trip just South of Steamwheedle Port to Lost Rigger Cove, because the shore's just lined with neutral 41-44 tortoise until you get closer to Lost Rigger Cove, where you run into some of the Pirates. Being a 48 druid, it was really easy to just prowl past everything until I got to the first 2-story building on my right after I went past the little arch thing that leads to the main part of Lost Ringer Cove. When you first walk in, there's 3 pirates, and for me, their levels were 44, 45, and another 44 (but it probably varies). It's a good idea to kill the 3 bobos here. Then, you walk up a small staircase, and there's 3 more pirates, levels of 45, 45, and 44 for me. If you try to pull them one at a time here, they'll all aggro, so be ready for combat! I tried prowling past, but I aggroed. Then there's a larger double staircase, and taking that, you get to the second story, where the Stoley's Shipment is (on the left wall for me). It's a little obvious----it glows like when your computer's telling you that you can loot something (there's like 4 or 5 stacks of Stoley's Shipment, but you can only take one). Pretty easy for level 48, but good luck!! ^_^

Completed as a 44 Huntard. Make sure you keep your freezing trap up and mend pet going the whole time. It will probably help to clear the outside of the building as well, as the mobs flee when close to death.

Its at 72,46, inside the 2 story house at Lost Rigger Cove. When you walk in make a left, its that house.

Be careful: When you go into the next room before the stairs, you will be gang banged by 3 swashbucklers!

Do it with https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=8366 Southsea Showdown &amp; https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=8366#comments:id=282526 Southsea Shakedown &amp; https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=2875#comments:id=282532 WANTED: Andre Firebeard

Its possible to stealth all the way to the crate without even fighting anything as druid or Rogue. I can imagine a warrior would have problems with this quest since its one grp of 2, one patrol and one group of 3.

Easy enough to do - just die inside of the house and res upstairs - afterwards, training everything as you flee to your death.

As a level 44 fire/frost mage this is how I did it (incase it helps other mages).

I pulled the first two outside of the building and finished them off out there. I hugged the left wall and killed the one alone on the main floor, when I was done with him, I started going up the stairs, and used frost nova, blast wave, and blizzard to deplete their health on the second floor.

I polymorphed one, frost nova'd the the others again, ran past them. While I was doing this, I used my Mana sheild as much as possible. I led them upstairs to where the shipment is, I frost nova'd them again, and was able to (within a mere second) get my shipment, mana sheild, and run!

Hope it helps the mages out there :)

Interestingly, the room where you pick up the cargo has Howling Fjord music playing. Some sort of oversight on Blizzard's part.

On my mage i just put up ice barrier+mana shield ran in looted the shipment and because of the shields i wasnt interuppted then kept spamming mana shield and simply ran out of aggro range.

If you are a mage, do it simply. Take your Mana shield and Ice barrier if you have it, and come with those pirates on the second floor. Once there, freeze them with Frost nova, take those items, if frost specced, ice snap and freeze them again, if not, spam the ice shield and blink away.

A feral druid in bear form should have no problem with this.
I did it at 42 pull the 3 on the bottom, then the on the top.
in the case of the runners just either stun or charge them.

As a rogue, you need to make a sprint to the 2 floor and then you vanish!
