I have heard people saying the necklace drops only when you are on the berserk owlbeasts quest. what if i have already completed the quest but I didn't loot the necklace at all?

I killed about 50 Owlbeasts before going to Feralas, no drop. Picked up https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=4721 Wild Guardians in Feralas and it dropped on my 2nd Berserk Owlbeast. I dunno what's up with the WoWhead drop rates, but it seems to highly favor people who've picked up the quest from Feralas.

I kill berserk for an hour, and i dont found the neck, than i took the quest and after two mob i found it, so i think that quest (Wild Guardians) have influences on Guardian secrets.
