Trull Failbane in Felwood wants you to hunt 10 Berserk Owlbeasts in Winterspring.

Description

Runners have returned from Winterspring with reports that there is a series of small caves in the southern area of Winterspring. It seems that there are wildkin situated in the area around these caves. If there is something valuable that they are guarding, I believe that this is the place we will find it.

You will find these to be more of a challenge than the previous types, <name>. The creatures seem to have gone mad from exposure to the very thing that they strive to protect.

Completion

Hard work is something I have great respect for, <name>. Now we can move forward with our plans for Winterspring.

Upon completion of quests, get:

Found Northeast of Everlook, at about 66,22, by the Hidden Grove, amongst Crazed Owlbeasts, and Moontouched Owlbeasts.

Spawns are random, so you can absolutely find the whole grove empty for Berserk Owlbeasts. You will need to kill everything there and hope for your mobs to spawn.

The area above Everlook (as shown on the map at https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=7454 https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=7454) holds enough to complete the quest

While killing these guys keep an eye out for the Blue-feathered Necklace (https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=12558 https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=12558). Starts a quest to turn in at the fella in felwood, then you visit TB. Easy xp.

The questgiver directs you to the small caves (Owl Wing Thicket) south of Everlook for the Berserk Owlbeasts and for ""something valuable."" I suppose that is the Blue-feathered Necklace drop that leads to ""Guarding Secrets"" quest part one and part two. Altogether the three quests yield 9300, 4650, and 9300 XP for a total of 23,250 XP. Other posts indicate that the necklace drops from Berserk Owlbeasts in the northeast corner, around Hidden Grove, as well.

Useful knowledge for loremasters :) And you can only get the above mentioned item while on the 3rd part of the https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=4721 Wild Guardians questline.

**CAUTION** The Necklace will not drop if you have completed this questline witohut getting it, so make sure you do :)
