Description

I came to Winterspring to investigate the Frostfire Hot Springs. I've noticed that the water seems to have ...strange qualities. I haven't yet been able to discover the source, and to tell you the truth, I've had some difficulty lately, due to the Winterfall furbolg.

They seem to be drawn to the springs, just as I am. They have become extremely protective of the water, and won't let me come near the two larger springs to the north of here.

I'd like to continue my studies, so won't you help me?

30,35 is definitely the best area

This quest has you killing Winterfall Furbolg. As such, you can expect every decent spawn of mobs to be camped. What you will need to do in order to get your kills is plant yourself in one of the Furbolg 'villages' on either side of the road in western Winterspring and kills mobs as they spawn in. Expect to be competing with at least one or two other players for the kills, and don't be surprised to see mega-geared level 60s among the competition. These Furbolg drop items needed for Timbermaw reputation, which is why competition is usually fierce.

I recommend getting all your Pathfinder and Totemic kills in the western part of the zone, then heading east of Everlook to the other big Furbolg camp. There are many Den Watchers outside the camp, and they tend to garner less attention.

Just make sure you have the quest: https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=6241 https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=6241 at the same time. It will at least save you from killing 8 mobs.

39,43 just south of road and a little east has another camp of Winterfall guys.

A note to Rogues, the Pathfinders have a troublesome ability to reduce your armor by about 1200 and impede your ability to be invisibly or turn to stealth, so make sure when you fight them, there is enough room to regen some health without getting mauled by a wandering enemy.

Be sure to take this quest too, since some camps have some from each of the two quests, e.g. the camp at 66:37

Best Spot for the following Mobs:

Winterfall Pathfinder : 30,35

Winterfall Den Watcher: 30,35

Winterfall Totemic: 32,36

This quest is easy. The screenshot I submitted should help out. But the Totemics, Pathfinders and Denwatchers are all found at coords 30, 36 &amp; 39, 42. The Denwathcers are ALSO found west of Everlook at 67, 37. This particular area has other Winterfall guys and they are from the quest ""Winterfall Activity"" https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=8464
These quests are easy and fun but the suck ass part is just how much riding around you have to do to do the quests and turn them in.
I hope this helps. I rarely put stuff up because there is usually a ton of info but for this quest and Winterfall Activity it was hard to find useful info with details. Enjoy. (Did these quests as a 56 lvl arms warrior, female, undead)

This refers to https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=12771 Empty Firewater Flask, in case you missed looting it from those furbolgs.

I don't know, but since patch 3.3.3 my game freezes for 1 sec upon the death of any of the mobs related to this quest. Could be because the Winterfall Den Watcher is part of 2 quests (I did https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=8464 Winterfall Activity and https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=5082 Threat of the Winterfall at the same time). Very annoying.
