All Along the Watchtowers

Using the Beacon Torch, mark each tower in Andorhal; you will need to stand in the doorway of the tower to successfully mark it.

Once all four towers are marked, return the Beacon Torch to High Executor Derrington at the Bulwark, Western Plaguelands.
  •
Tower One marked
  •
Tower Two marked
  •
Tower Three marked
  •
Andorhal Tower Four slain
Provided Item:
Beacon Torch

Description

Through the use of a magical device known as a beacon torch, we can mark targets of our choosing for future actions by our troops. To that end, we think the Scourge are using Andorhal's watchtowers as a means to control their troop movements.

Your mission: breach Andorhal's defenses to plant beacons at all four watchtowers. You'll need to be in the doorway of each tower to plant the beacon; it will then proceed to mark the tower. There are only five charges on the beacon torch, so use them wisely!

Reward

Also, you get: 85

Progress

Once the towers are marked, they'll become top priority targets for our attack on Andorhal. I suspect that once we neutralize the towers, the main threat of Andorhal will emerge. From that point on, we'll have a straight-up fight for control of the city!

You're back to report success, yes? Don't forget the beacon torch as well; we must maintain control of our materiel.

Completion

My warlocks are reporting that our beacon trackers are picking up extremely strong signals on all four towers! You've executed my orders with the skill and precision of a seasoned veteran. Your service to the Horde is duly noted once more, <name>!

With the towers marked, our preparations for the attack are now in place. The time has come to take the fight to the Scourge!

Gains

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 580 experience (34 80 at max. level)
  • 250 Reputation with Horde

Tower 1 - 40, 71
Tower 2 - 42, 66
Tower 3 - 44, 63
Tower 4 - 46, 71

If you aren't in a group, don't worry, you don't have to fight any elites. Check the screenshot, just stand next to the doorway.

I know this is lame, but....I ran out of beacon torch charges and don't know how to get more. Will I need to abandon the quest and begin again? Any suggestions?

Easy quest.

You won't have to fight a lot of mobs if you:

1. Stay along the roads but avoid the middle and the https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=1805 Flesh Golem
2. Run away when you drop the torches. I didn't see any Warlords spawn on my druid but they spawned for my priest. Maybe my druid avoided aggro?
3. If you need to go off the road to avoid the middle, don't go through houses. Go behind them.

Just soloed this as a 53 fury warrior. really easy quest. the key to doing it at a low level is traveling along the mountainous edge where there is only 1 mob at a time. when it comes time to get to the towers, you don't have to be in the doorway. If you run into the corner of the door's edging and the wall of the tower on the outside, you can use the beacon, without aggroing the 57 warlord.

Alas, just because you're level 75 and want to get your scholo key to finish out the keymaster achievement (having just gotten your violet hold key), doesn't mean you can plow through this quest.

The item you use to mark the towers has a 2 minute cooldown.

Welcome to the world of waitcraft :/
