Mok'thardin's Enchantment

Far Seer Mok'thardin of Grom'gol needs Holy Spring Water. He also wants you to kill 10 Naga Explorers.

Holy Spring Water

Description

There is but one final reagent needed to complete the enchantment.

In the south, towards the western coast, high above the bluffs, lies a Holy Spring. This spring is the subject of great conflict amongst religious and mystical scholars. Every race in Azeroth claims that the spring waters were made divine for their people.

My final request of you: bring to me Holy Spring Water. Be warned. An expedition of naga explorers have advanced upon the spring. They will need to be dealt with as well.

Choker of the High Shaman

Progress

I am almost ready to complete the enchantment. Have you performed my bidding?

Completion

With this Holy Spring Water the ceremonial choker is ready for enchantment.

Wear this with pride, <name>, in the name of the Warchief and in defense of the mighty Horde.

Upon completion of quests, get:
  • 465 experience (27 90 at max. level)
  • 350 Reputation with Orgrimmar

The area you are looking for is northwest of Booty Bay. Coming from the ocean, it will be hard to miss, as the only mobs present are Naga Explorers. They are around level 43. You will likely kill more than the ten required just making your way up to the spring. In the area with the spring (looks like a fountain, have to cross a rope bridge to get to it), you might have to take on two naga at a time. Bring your pulling skills.

Note that once again, this area tends to be camped. Anyone know why level 50+ players have such an interest in farming naga?

You can double up this quest with the https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=617 Akiris by the Bundle quest found near the mailbox in Booty Bay.

They drop clams that can drop golden pearls, and those are needed for +spell damage enchants.

The spring is at 29, 62. It's not defended once you get to it.

I was very confused with this quest because nobody gives real cords or explains what to do.

First of all, the Holy Water you need to get is not a drop, and you don't need to fill anything.

Go to 27,59, just before the bridge there is a path. Follow the path all the way up until you see an arch that looks like you are heading in to ruins. When you enter, this place should be called Nek'mani Wellspring. You will see a bridge as soon as you enter this place. Kill the Naga that is in your way, cross the bridge, and click on the Wellspring located at 28,62.

I killed exactly 10 Naga just before I reached the well with the Holy Water.

Didn't see the rare elite when I was there. GL

When i got to the well, the well was protected by a lvl 45 Lord Sakrasis who also dropped a green item: https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=5028 Lord Sakrasis' Scepter.

BTW the well is a good drink. Use one and then pick another one up.

Lord Sakrasis that's around there is not a rare elite, just a normal rare. So he's not harder than any other mob around.

Could anyone tell me, do I need any other items to get the water from the spring? Because I killed more than 10 Naga, then I killed Lord Sakrasis more than once, but I couldn't get the water from the spring... (I have a lvl 41 warlock)

wow.. all these quests with the suckiest drop rate, and we get a neck with 8 spirit and 5 stam...

Atleast all that grinding got you somewhere near a ding!

This quest has just achieved worldwide fame by being shown in the film The Day the Earth Stood Still. At the beginning, when Jennifer Connelly is trying to get the kid to shut his laptop down and eat his dinner, I'm fairly sure he's just before the bridge with a troll or tauren melee class.

I know, I know, I need help. Still, I wouldn't mind a second opinion as to whether it is this quest or not.

to clarify even further: THERE IS NO CONTAINER!

if you use grom'gol base camp as your reference point, the island with the naga is located south-west (down and left)

if you are looking at your map, you will see it as a small disconnected piece of land sandwiched between gurubashi arena and booty bay

on this island, you must kill 10 naga, then follow the path (which begins at 27,59); go up from there [if you're in the right spot, you'll see a bridge and a stone pillar]

you will see at one point 2 stone pillars that lead to a rope bridge... go across that bridge and 'use' the small fountain - mission accomplished

Currently whenever you loot Holy Spring Water, the number of Naga Explorers slain is reset to 1.
