The Corpulent One

Find Borelgore in the northern wastes of Eastern Plaguelands and destroy him. Return to Nathanos Blightcaller when the mission is complete.
  •
Borelgore slain

Description

Past the Argent Dawn encampment of Light's Hope and west of Northdale, you will find the corpulent maggot beast, Borelgore.

I've lost entire regiments to that monster. His size knows no bounds! The more he eats the greater his girth becomes...

While I would not suffer any emotional harm should the beast devour you, I would prefer that you were the victor. Borelgore has been known to devour others who tried to hunt him.

As of 2.3 Borelgore is now non-elite, He has about 6,6k health and does hit quite hard still, Solo-able but make sure you have the area around him clear, wouldnt want to pull anything else. He wanders along from 53,31 to 62,32 and back.
Done as a 57 feral druid in cat form no problems.
Watch out for the dogs, they have a annoying habbit of running your way just as you pull him :p

at about (57,31), there's an intersection of sorts, between a road and a ditch. the worm follows the ditch, over the road. 63 shammie, really easy, duel wield wind fury, and searing totem. done in less than 30secs....and yeah, he has poison that i took care of in mid swing...

Easy to find him. Just follow the road north of Corrahn's Crossing until it curves around, just as if you were going to Strathholme. You'll come to an intersection and there is a street sign by the road. Straight ahead takes you to Stratholme and right takes you to Quel'thalas. Turn right towards Quel'thalas and run about 50 yards. He will either be there already or wait a few minutes and he will come up out of the ditch and cross the road. He is not too difficult to take down but he does hit very hard. I completed as 58 BE Paladin in plate armor and when I dropped him I was down to ~40% health.

Also note that he will constantly poison you. As a Paladin I have the ability to purify, which dispels the poison but two seconds later he will just recast his poison on you. Dispel that and two seconds later he will cast it again. The poison doesn't really do all that much harm to you, but it can get annoying having it cast on you over and over.

Completing this quest and https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=6135 Duskwing, Oh How I Hate Thee... leads to https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=6144 The Call to Command and https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=6163 Ramstein.

Naturally, being level 80, I have done the https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=13267 The Battle for the Undercity, meaning this quest chain is currently out of bounds for me :(
