As the war effort mounts, the silithid presence in the area presents an ever increasing threat to our operations. You've been selected to partake on an assault on Hive'Regal where your primary target will consist of Hive'Regal burrowers.

The repeatable Field Duty quest can randomly lead to this quest.

These things spawn very quickly. Once I realized how few of these there were, I was about to drop the quest, then as I was running out of the southern most ""cave"", I saw one spawned again. I wound up just running back and forth between the spawn points and killing them. I got about eight before the bugs in the hallway spawned again.

Talking from experience, at least for the one near https://vanillawowdb.com/?maps=1377:510815 [51.0 81.5] they're generally on about a 2 minute 15 second or a 2 minute 45 second respawn timer (at least that's what the Blizz Stopwatch told me) depending on your luck, just in case you're thinking of camping that particular spawn location. Some of the respawns took a little over 3 minutes, though, so camping probably isn't such a good idea.

I had been away from the game since before WotLK. When I came back, I had https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=21256/combat-task-briefing-xi Combat Task Briefing XI, https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=21259/logistics-task-briefing-v Logistics Task Briefing V, and https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=21751/tactical-task-briefing-iii Tactical Task Briefing III left over in my backpack. I am fairly certain I also had https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=8777 Target: Hive'Regal Burrowers in my quest log. As I recall, I abandoned the quest and moved on to other things but kept the task briefings in my bank.

I came back to https://vanillawowdb.com/?zone=1377 Silithus on a lark and found I was able to reaccept the quest for https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=21256/combat-task-briefing-xi Combat Task Briefing XI and complete it. However, I was not able to accept the quests for https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=21259/logistics-task-briefing-v Logistics Task Briefing V or https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=21751/tactical-task-briefing-iii Tactical Task Briefing III.

It looks like you should be able to abandon a task briefing quest and reaccept it provided you keep the task briefing in your inventory or bank. This is obviously a corner case and a near-worthless factoid at this point in the history of the game but I found it interesting nonetheless.
