Description

You've almost proven yourself to be a master hunter of panthers. A panther by the name of Bhag'thera has been prowling the jungle. So far he's eluded our party. See if you can use your skills to kill the great Bhag'thera.

Bring me the Fang of Bhag'thera and you'll have earned my respect!

I ran around the mound with a macro /target bhag'thera.. and didnt find anything.. i went a lil farther north using the macro and found her at 48.19... she is no longer an elite.. she is lvl 40.. I solo'd this as a lvl 38 feral druid with great ease...she had around 1700 life and only crit'd me once for 110.. the rest of the hits she got on me where around 48-54 dmg.. i lost around 350 hp.. didnt even come close to dieing.. should be relatively eay for a lvl 36 or so..

Found her at 47, 28. She's been nerfed to a standard level 40.

A tip for hunters: You'll find her quicker if you use your standard beast tracking. She isn't stealthed.

Did it as lvl 36 hunter, very easy, even with 2 adds(I had a shadowmaw panther and a tigress as adds). Found at 48,25. She has a debuff(50% armor decrease) and a dot, not hard to kill if you kite.

Bhag'thera is most likely a reference to Bagheera, the panther from The Jungle Book.

Found him just North of the Ogre Cave... as a level 36 Hunter I found him easy to kill... I have done this on a Paladin, Mage, and Warrior aswell.. all between 34 and 36 Solo.

If you can Heal (Druid, Paladin, Preist, exc) it is MUCH easier especially since you get it around 36-ish anyways.

If you cannot heal I suggest bringing a pot... should be real easy is you are 37+.

He is just a regular lvl 40 with a good bit of health... dont overestimate this guy

Solo'd as a lvl 34 full BM hunter, with lvl 33 kitty pet (growl, claw, bite).

Straightforward tank & spank fight. Accidentally pulled a lvl 37 tigress add at the beginning of the fight, but was able to fear and freeze it for the entire duration. Doable without pulling any adds if you're careful to clear the surrounding area first (watch out for prowling panthers). No pots or cooldowns used, and no kiting. Remember to keep mend pet up, and FD/Disengage if you gain aggro.

These coords 49, 19 do seem to be the best ones.
Three of us searched all over and looked at the photo, we had an awful time finding her. Were ready to give up and then we did go north to the 49, 19 area and there she was in what looks like an open area with a few tigresses around her.

Good luck, but try that area first.

Mostly found above Mosh'ogg Ogre Mound at 50,26 but also travels on times to other locations around 50,26.
40 lvl non-Elite easy to kill because he has a quite low stamina, though has an good attack power.
Try to kill him fast and try to stun him allot. Potions can be very usefull.

Had no luck finding Bhag'thera around the Ogre place. Went to 48.81 20.06 a little northwest of the Ogre site and found her at the bottom of a hill. She's a panther, so pretty straight-forward melee fight. I think she does have some kind of ""Tendon Rip"" or similar ability but nothing that really hampered my taking her down. Confirmed, she is now a level 40 non-elite.

Found her at 49.7 24.4 Her respawn is very long as I saw her, went in for the kill and a 47 warrior made quick work. 22 minutes later she respawned..

Found him at 49, 24 but I think he roams a bit so check that area. Looks like a regular panther so move your cursor over the panthers in the area cuz I almost missed him.
I did this solo and late as a lvl 47 hunter. Really easy to kill. =]

Ran around for over an hour, and couldn't find him. Finally killed him at 65.6, 43.1, which is in Bambala, northwest of the ogre mound.

As I was typing this, he spawned and was at that exact spot again.

Keep an eye out for the little white skull which should appear on your mini-map when you are closeby - this will show Bag'thera's exact position. :)

Since Cataclysm, the quest has changed quite a bit. He is now level 28, with 1706 HP. And Now he is located in a totally different place. Coordinates are 64,36, which if you look at your map is in the right side of Stranglethorn. If you literally stand on the logo Bambala on your map and you are facing south, you will find him no problem. (Updated on 12/12/2010)

Bhag'thera was wandering around just west of the 'M"" in Mosh Ogg on the map. He respawned in a couple of minutes in the same place where I killed him. I hope this saves someone time I checked all of the other places mentioned in the above post and didn't find him.

Found Bhag'thera, calmly strolling down the path, south of Venture Co, heading towards Bambala. Beware if you are Alliance. Bambala is Horde, with L85's to see you off, if you get too close.
