Description

<name>, you are a hunter worthy of our company. From the battlefields of Lordaeron to the deepest jungle, I have rarely witnessed such prowess with weaponry as you have demonstrated.

You have killed the ferocious Sin'Dall, the elusive Bag'thera and the treacherous Tethis. But the true prize is the head of King Bangalash. That white tiger is the reason I am here. I've had my sights on him for quite some time now. Kill King Bangalash and your hunting prowess is proven to be second to none.

If you fail at killing this cat on your first attempt, but get him below 50%, the two ads will remain with him even when he resets. Two additional cats will then spawn when his health crawls below 50% again.

This means that if you're going alone, you basically only have one shot at taking him down.

I saw a level 50 hunter in Westfall with this mob as a pet and it was still elite. Can anyone confirm that it is possible to tame it, and also that it stays elite?

If you fail, or someone else has, you can pull him and run away and then kill his adds. He resets before his adds.

I attempted this quest twice today, and both times his spawned adds were level 43. They despawned seconds after my death.

Still barely managed to solo it as level 42 enhance shaman keeping water shield up, healing stream, windfury, and magma totems. Healed myself every couple of seconds, dropped stoneclaw totem just as the adds spawned and that kept them occupied long enough for me to finish Bangalash off. Actually we died at the same time, but hey, still completed.

The items from this quest and the pre-requisite quests are being removed in Cataclysm. Anyone intending on making a level 29 twink should hop to it ASAP. The replacement rewards in Cataclysm will be below ilvl35 and ineligible for BC enchants.

If anyone's confused with the comments, I just did this quest and it's a level 29 tiger. Soloed this at level 32.

If you're under 29 and have trouble with his two adds, just loot his head and GTFO.

Found him at 47.8, 59.3 on the ridge, under a bush.

Follow the river down to the abyss, and he's on the left.

King Bangalash is sadly, no longer elite. I got all psyched up for an epic twink battle only to be majorly disappointed.

Anyone in that level range could easily solo him now. :(

Correct location (co-ordinates) for Bangalash are, 48.33, 58.60. Also, he isn't an elite, thoughhe still summons two panthers very early in the fight. Clear ALL the tigers and stelthe panthers at the base of the hill first. The ramp up to the plateau is on the southeastern side close to the edge of The Sundering. Be very careful.

Interestingly, if you have this quest in your log, any tamed Bangalash hunter pet will show as a skull on your minimap--even in capital cities or the ""wrong"" zone :P
