Retrieve the Warchief's Orders and return them to the Fallen Hero of the Horde.

Description

Orders were given by the dispatch commander. We took... took orders. On way to Blasted Lands, ambushed.

Murlocs... Many murlocs... One named Swamp Talker. Took orders from my hands as spear thrust into my skull. East... cave....

<Bengor passes out.>

It is worse than I imagined. Nineteen of my men could have been spared from the agony which they faced. If only I had not acted so irrationally.

Cave begins at 66,75. Murlocs are level 43 - 45. Swamp talker is surrounded by 2-3 Murlocs. Swamp Talker is in the room in the back of the cave (62,89) and level 50.

Easy to solo as 49 rogue.

He also spawns around 64.13, 80.65

Found that out the hard way after I killed them and then my friend went and got the quest, we sat there waiting for 20 min for the respawn and he never came. Happened to check out the rest of the cave and found him lol.

Found him right inside the cave to the right (not the coords listed in the first comment.)

Also, the murlocs in the mouth of the cave respawn very fast, so you might want to pull him outside.

However, it all starts with the Fallen Hero of the Horde.

The Swamp Talker is located in Swamp of Sorrows, southeast of Stonard along the mountains in a cave. He is level 50 and is easily solo'ed, I took him down with ease at level 51. The mobs to get to him are level 42-48. Again pretty easy to solo. Aug 16, 2008.

As a 45 druid, I was able to solo this in Bear Form using a combination of Demoralizing Roar, Faerie Fire, Swipe (when the add pops up), and War Stomp + Heal when needed. It took over a minute to finish the fight, however. I had a lot of stamina gear for this.

Keep an eye out for Fingat, a rare murloc spawn in this cave. He's quite a bit smaller than the other murlocs making him fairly obvious.

He do summon some adds that have about 2,4 k hp but the despawn if you hit em ones.
Did take him down as a hunter lvl 45 , did have aspect of the viper on and just heald my pet and when he summonde adds i did hit the adds one meele. easy one. =)

When I did this quest, the https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=950 Swamp Talker was not patrolling at all. He was at the end of the cave, in a room with 4-5 other murlocs.

As a level 45 Enhancement Shaman with mostly leather green items, this guide should work for you:

When you get to the area just south of Swamp Talker, use Lightning Bolt or Chain Lightning to carefully pull the two murlocs that are between you and the Swamp Talker. Make sure you have killed the patroller that comes through this area as well. You don't want him surprising you during the fight.

Preparation
Make sure you are at full health and mana, and then use https://vanillawowdb.com/?spell=8235 Windfury Weapon, https://vanillawowdb.com/?spell=52134 Water Shield, https://vanillawowdb.com/?spell=8161 Strength of Earth Totem.

The fight
Use https://vanillawowdb.com/?spell=930 Chain Lightning to pull The Swamp Talker. (Orc: Use https://vanillawowdb.com/?spell=33697 Blood Fury when you are within melee range.) Keep repeating the following until the fight is over:
  4. Water Shield (Important!)
  5. (If the additional unit has been spawned, give it a melee hit to get rid of it now)
  6. If below half health:
The escape
Chances are most of the murlocs have respawned in the cave by now. Either fight them as you did on the way in, or run as far as you can, thrown down a https://vanillawowdb.com/?spell=6392 Stoneclaw Totem, and try to make it out of the cave.

Very very easy to solo as an level 46 affiction warlock. With hairloom gear mixed with random blues, he hits for 73 while siphon life ticks for +111 on him. Very easy quest. No reason not to get scared away by the red level tag on the quest :)
