Testing the Vessel

Travel to the Hinterlands, and locate the Wildkin. Kill 10, and use the Muisek Vessel to shrink and capture the fallen Wildkin.

Bring 10 Wildkin Muiseks and the Muisek Vessel to Witch Doctor Uzer'i in Feralas.

Description

This will be a test; both of the ritual I performed, and of your abilities. Take this vessel, <name>. With it, you will have the power to shrink and capture a creature inside of it.

Travel to the Hinterlands and look for creatures known as Wildkin that were once pets of the night elf goddess Elune. The vicious, primitive, or savage owlbeasts are your targets, <name>. Kill 10, and use the muisek vessel to shrink and capture them before their spirits can escape.

Progress

Were you able to capture the wildkin?

If you succeed, we will be ready to shrink and capture the muisek of creatures of Feralas.

Completion

Upon a violent death, the muisek of a creature may escape and seek revenge. Shrinking the creatures, as you did, <name>, prevents the muisek from escaping. Now we may use it as we please!

While doing this quest remember one thing: Owlbeasts are a type of Wildkin, and they work for this quest. Do not repeat my mistake and think you had to go hunt down ""&lt;Insert&gt; Wildkin"" while also doing the ""Natural Materials"" quest.

Vicious Owlbeast are in the general area of 26,58 in the Hinterlands. They are mostly north and south of those coords. Just kill them, target their body, then use the Wildkin Muisek Vessel.

Remember to use the Muisek, I forgot all about it and had to go back looking for the bodies. If you use the Muisek correctly, it should look like an Arcane Explosion from a mage. All you need to do is ge tclose to the mob, target it (while it's dead) and then Click the Muisek which has a 30 second cooldown.

You don't have to kill the mob to do it, someone else can kill it and you can run around muisek'ing everything they kill. Wouldn't reccomend it though because that's kinda mean =O.

Make sure you loot the body first because it will disappear. Never know what you might lose.

If you are in a group doing any of the Muisek quests, you can each get credit off one corpse if you all activate the Muisek simultaneously. To time it, one person can jump, and when their feet hit the ground everyone can try to activate their Muisek. It can be difficult to pull off but since you'll be doing this to a lot of corpses you'll get the hang of it.

Make sure you have at least one empty slot in your bag. Else you won't receive Wildkin muisek.

This quest was changed in 3.2. He no longer asks you to get wildkin muisek. He now sends you just north of Camp Mojache to get ""Beast Muisek"" from Ironfur bears and Longtooth runners. The wildkin version of this quest no longer exists; the followup is still to gather Hippogryph muisek.

It seems this quest has changed since the new patch. You can no longer zap the owlbeast (which is annoying when you've traveled all the way to hinterlands)
Dont go to hinterlands! Stay in ferelas and kill all those https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=5268 ironfur bears you see then zap those.

looks like they as of patch 3.2 they also change the cooldown on the vessel from 30 secs to 1 secs. makes it way less annoying when you aoe pull

If you're doing this quest near the Lariss Pavilion, be aware that Snarler does not count towards the quest.

I talked with a gm about this last night.
You need to kill an https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=5268 https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=5268 or https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=5286 https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=5286 to use the item and complete the quest.

so DO NOT kill the Owlbeast. It won't help you to complete the quest.

Going to The Hinterlands will no longer help you with this quest. I found out the hard way by following where Carbonite Questhelper told me to go.

Stay in Feralas and kill Ironfur Bears and Longtooth Howlers. They are located in the area south of Dire Maul. Have fun! :)

As of 4.0.1, you kill Ironfur Bears and Longtooth Runners and use the vessel. They are mostly level 38-41, and located east of Camp Mojache. If your'e a skinner, like I am, don't skin the corpses.
