While getting the Rye in The Hinterlands, inside the tent (next to the bag of rye) is a chest. One of the items it contains is a bar of Truesilver. Grab this - as you'll need it for part 3 of the quest chain. (Doing so will save a trip to the AH and back.)

btw:
Barley - Swamp of Sorrows - 62.5,23.2
Corn - Tanaris - 65.7,36.6
Rye - The Hinterlands - 39.9,66.2

Just describing the locations given by the coordinates above:
  • The barley is next to a campfire in the middle of the Fallow Sanctuary. It is guarded by lvl 36-37ish Lost Ones.
  • The rye is next to the entrance of a hut in the NE corner of Shadra'Alor. It is guarded by lvl 45-47 trolls.
  • The corn is in one of the easternmost Wastewander camps, almost up to the coast with all of the turtles. Nearby aggro mobs are 43-45ish.

How were we ever supposed to do this quest without sites like these? Just running around 40 zones, looking in every nook and cranny? It's not like Grimbooze's little song gives us any clues...

By successfully completing this quest, Blizzard will now know that you check websites in order to complete quests. (Or use addons such as QuestHelper.)

I wanna know how the very first person, before these sites came into being, found these things. I mean, I'm an explorer though not as thorough in this game than say a console rpg game, but let's face it, the sheer area you'd have to cover in each and every zone is massive and mind-boggling. Circling around every single tree, boulder, house, ruins, fence, bush, temple column, village/town (including opposite faction ones with high level guards), etc etc, is just insane. And then there's all the lakes and caves and caverns and old keeps AND, let's not forget that Blizzard loves to put insanely high level mobs/areas in some zones. Plus there are camps of mobs that Blizzard loves to hide things in. These camps of 3 to 5 mobs that love to stomp you into mush and you try, like a wind-up toy with no brains, to keep going into that camp... hoping to kill at least ONE of them so the next time it won't be so hard. And when you finally get down to just one or two mobs left and you run back from the graveyard excited that you'll finally get it this time... and when you get there, everything has respawned!

Yeah, you get the point. Heh. And of course I'm being a little excessive, but I'm trying to make a point. WTF was the point behind making a quest that gives you NO clues whatsoever, no NPC's or village folk to query for hints on who saw it last? And yeah, the biggest question I have is, how come you can't buy these very basic items at any village or from any baker? *blinks and stares blankly*

Next to my sack of corn I found a chest with not one but two bars of truesilver. Lucky me. I'm starting to believe this rumor.

I looted a chest near the Holy Water and got two Truesilver Bars. Reading the others' comments makes me believe you have a very high chance of getting them while on this quest. Maybe just never finish the quest and keep looting Truesilver Bars?

I also noticed some of you saying the original quester would have had to search ALL OVER Azeroth. Note that these items are all in zones intended for the approximate level the player would be when getting this quest, and this would nicely reduce his search area if he assumed this.
