Unless I am very mistaken, you need to get your ten meats and then turn in the quest. You cannot just stockpile 200 of each and then spam turn-ins like you do runecloth to the faction quartermaster. The drop rate isn't exactly spectacular either. Yes, its sucks, but generally this weeds out the undedicated.

EDIT: Verified that you now get 250 Rep per turn-in on live servers after 2.3 patch.

Verified that you can not pick up more than 5 of each meat at a time.

I had 4 of each meat in my bags and killed two bears who each dropped one (I checked before looting), once I looted one the meat on the other disappeared.

A Hunter with a Frostsaber should be able to do this quest quite easily :-)
You only need to do this until you reach 1500/3000 Neutral...

Currently being 1010/12000 into honored here are my tips for this quest. You MUST be alliance to do these quests.

The https://vanillawowdb.com/?faction=589 Wintersaber Trainers are located in Northern Winterspring and pretty much the point of grinding reputation with them is solely to get https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=13086 Reins of the Winterspring Frostsaber. Now, pre-BC this mount was extremely hard to get due to the little amount of reputation you would get per quest turn in thus the grind was highly not worth it. Since Burning Crusade came out the reputation has been increased however the mount is still uncommon since people don't find the worth of the grind.

To get started you must find https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=10618 Rivern Frostwind (Note: he is literally on top of the giant rock at (49,9). You can get up to him from the back of the rock).

Outline of the reputation levels:

[Neutral][Friendly][Honored][Revered][Exalted]Overview of the quests:Tips for farming:
 • It's always nice to have a friend. This is a really boring grind so it's nice to have someone to do it with.
 • https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=25653 Riding Crop or https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=32863 Skybreaker Whip are worth it for this grind
 • Except for the elites, you can pull a few of these a time as a 70 and be okay.
 • Once you hit honored and you unlock https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=5981 Rampaging Giants I would only do that and https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=5201 Winterfall Intrusion. The ride is longer but not having to farm the meat with the bad drop rate and the bonus repuation is worth it if you can take the elites.
 • Don't get discouraged. It seems like it's gonna take forever but it's not as bad as it seems. In one day I'm a bit into honored.
Some math:
Good luck all!

There's an added bonus for Skinners and Leatherworkers in doing these quests. You will recieve tons of Thick and Rugged Leather, as well as several stacks of https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=15419 Warbear Leather and https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=15423 Chimera Leather. The Warbear Leather can be used to make some good feral druid armor, and the Chimera Leather is used in resistance gear.

This is in my oppinion the worst of the quests. the next one you get is alot faster with the same rep. this one you need to kill monsters to get their meat (10) and the drop rate is in mid 20's i would say. you cant stack them you need to turn them in then go back and so forth. the next quest you need to just kill 10 monsters. no droprate. just plane killing. its So much faster. but when you do do this i would kill the elder shardtooths. good luck grinding.

Been running all three quests with a death knight. With https://vanillawowdb.com/?spell=51267 On A Pale Horse and 15% move movement speed when walking speed from https://vanillawowdb.com/?spell=50392 Unholy Aura.

Currently at 7650/21000 and been getting 3400+ rep/hour.

With Hearthstone and Scroll of Recalls every 20min I'm able to do all 3 quests easily 4 times in one hour. The droprates for meats are very steady and you can acquire them on your way to furbolgs.
Pulled all mobs in packs of 4-6 and killed. Doing all 3 quests reach a nice rep/h rate and is far more pleasant to do than repeating 1-2 quests only.

The meats drop consistently at 1 for every 3 kills of each beast. There's only the slightest variation to this that its barely noticable. It doesn't matter what level you kill the drop rate is the same.

Finally exalted after about a week of semi-serious grinding (6-12 hours a day). I chose to do all three quests per cycle and didnt have too much of a problem with my prot warrior from levels 60-65. Wanted to leave a few of my own pointers:

-Stick to the Frostmaul Giants and Preservers above and on the other side of the bridge. They are much more plentiful on the opposite side, and I never ran into unfirnedly interference like I did down in the pit.

-Don't forget about the Ursas (and sometimes a lone Shaman) on top of the hill between Winterfall Village and Ice Thistle. I didn't discover them until about midway into Honored >.<

-Jeremy above me is correct about the drop rate, group those babies as much as you can, the area above Everlook has plenty of nooks where groups of 5-6 beasts are easily aggroed together. Will save you a lot of time and frustration.

By the time I was into Revered at lvl 65 I was clocking in at about 26 minutes per three quest cycle- Accept Quests, port to Everlook, sell to vendors, repair, complete quests, turn in, and repeat. A week later and all I can say is...

So worth it! She's a beaut! : )

Mages here is something that worked for me...

Use level 1 Arcane Explosion, as your gathering to keep the mobs from resetting, you can gather 10 or more from a decent area to aoe down. Its cake for frost mages....

That said, stay where the ravagers are, the others cast and are a pain to gather and aoe...

Bear in mind that bear flanks (which drop quite abundantly from the Shardtooth bears) are intregral to leveling cooking (unless you do it around Pilgrim's Bounty time) and therefor sell for rather a lot on the AH

Before starting this rep grind, it's worth going to https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=11556 Salfa and completing https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=8464 Winterfall Activity which will allow you to loot the https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=21383 Winterfall Spirit Beads.

Using the number of turn-ins provided by kevthedude, you will be gaining a MINIMUM of 12,200 rep with Timbermaw doing the https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=5201 Winterfall Intrusion quest. (up to 33,000 if you only do the Winterfall Intrusion quest once available).

Adding in the bead turn-ins (save 300 beads to get through Revered), and you can likely get to Exalted with Timbermaw as well (or at least put a very large dent in how much you have to do). Even if you're not terribly concerned about your rep there, it won't cost you more than 20 minutes (to do the initial quest, and go through all the bead turnins) and you'll be killing those mobs anyways.

This quest is now obsolete.

With patch 4.1 , the https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=13086 Winterspring Frostsaber mount is now acquired by https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=29034 completing daily quests instead of a reputation grind.

I don't know if this quest is still available, but it is no longer relevant as you need to collect twenty https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=68644 shed whiskers from your cub instead of https://vanillawowdb.com/?faction=589 Wintersaber Trainer reputation.

I happened to have 5 shardtooth meat in my pack from the old quest. I got the saber cub, killed another bear, fed him the shardtooth meat. He ate all 6 of em and it only counted as one.

No big deal but kinda interesting.
