yeah, just north of Windrunner Spire... the only one I could find too.

As alliance I stood on the north-eastern ridge overlooking Tranquillien where there was a Rat running about. After two kills it re-spawned as a Larva.
The hardest of the Pests to get without a doubt.

Also in the Underlight Mines of Ghostlands

I believe these larvae exist only to get other animals in Ghostlands something to do; perhaps that's why they seem so rare. In an hour of roaming around Ghostlands (mostly around Tranquilien, but also in other places suggested here), I've spotted three. Ghostclaw Lynxes swiftly took care of those before I could get within range and shoot. The bottom line is that it pays off to look at other locations not indicated on the map here; if you're lucky enough, you might find a larva before some lynx does.

I eventually found my kill at 44.3:37.8 in Ghostlands, just south of Tranquilien by an abandoned encampment.

I can confirm, that other animals like bats kill the larva. Also the larva share the spawn with spiders and other yellow level 1 animals.

I managed to find a live Larva in Suncrown Village, at the spot where Wowhead's map shows.

Found 1 at 33.3, 31.1, just do the /tar larva. Found it the river. Only 1 was there.

A pain to find.

Killed any spiders and rats in locations on map which didn't really help but eventually found one at 27,38 while spamming macro. About 12 mins of running around in total.

Found one at 20.3 52.7 at 1:00 PM on a Sunday. Took forever!

I finally found one in the Lightweight Mines (to the S of the Sanctum of the Moon), after killing a rat.

found mine at the east edge of Windrunner Village after 30 mins killing rats. Went back to Tranquelien to fly out....found one wandering around at the south edge of town :)

Ghostlands - 23:20, spam macro /tar Lar /cast (instant cast spell/ability) ... At the ""D"" of Goldenmist Village on the map. North West if you're bad at coords and haven't discovered the whole map.

Found in Ghostlands 27,49 near Underlight Mines. It's true the NPC animals kill them FAST. One died up near Suncrown Village as I was riding up, 20 min no respawn.

For alliance you can find the occasional larva outside Zul'aman (no worries about trying to get into tranquiellen.)

I found one beneath Sanctum Of The Moon. I was running towards Windrunner Spire while spamming this macro: /tar Larva.

i found mine by the pool of water south east of sanctum of the sun in ghostlands :)

Found one at 33, 44 using NPCScan (ID 16068, same as in the URL, works just like adding a rare). I found it amusing that I still got excited when the raid warning sounded, as if a rare had spawned.

Roamed for a couple hours over a couple days' time, and finally stumbled across one at 76.4, 16.2--northwest of Dawnstar Spire. From my own experience and all the preceding comments, I think it's just a rare spawn, unclear if it shares spawns with other neutral critters in the zone.

After running around for about half an hour, I just came across one at 26.8 39.2

i did use /tar Larva and i did find 1 far from were the pins say you find the i found the larva at cords 60, 58 in Ghostlands so use /tar often when your looking for anything you look for ;)

o yes for you that dont have cords its just west from the south-easten lake that is south-east from sanctum of the sun^^

if you have an pet you can control put him on passive or he will kill it be4 you do.

when you find one you can use pet to point out in what direction the larva (or other you find with /tar (not friendly trough)) is but call it back asap you know what direktin tha target is in or he will start attacking it ;)

Finally found one after 2 hours just across river North of Sanctum of the Moon

23-20 and Redfenix's macro is the win.

After 2 hours of searching the above listed coords for the darn thing, I came upon 2 within one minute's time. There was the one near Windrunner Spire (near entrance to the building) and came back then, to take flight out of Ghostlands at Tranquillen and the darn thing had finally spawned there and was moving about right near the flight master (I'd waited there an hour to even see a rat or the larva, and after no luck had finally moved on earlier in the day). So can confirm those 2 locations, as current as of Jan. 2011.

This little bugger should have a silver dragon portrait on it when you finally do manage to target one.

Just found one @ 41,69 in Ghostlands - at the blue-greenish pool with mushrooms, on the right side of Deatholme.
Wouldn't have notice it if I hadn't been mashing /target Larva /cast Ice Lance macro :D

Picked up one on the beach at 19,11 as a secondary to a spirit crab.
