Here's the jist on this guy.
Another critter needed for the achievement added in 3.08 Pest Control (at the time of this post, it's not in database).
Easy way to get this guy, is to head towards Wailing Caverns. You'll be able to pick up an https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=3300 Adder on the way to knock out two birds.. rather snakes with one stone (or whatever you use to kill them). Zone into Wailing Caverns, and there's a snake not 20 feet from the door skittering (thought snakes slithered 0.o) around.

Helpful macro for the achievement:Helpful macro for finding the Larva:
/tar Larva
/stopmacro [noexists]
/tell (YourCharacterName) > %t <

Remember to replace YourCharacterName with, well Your Character's Name.

I came across one of these the other day. It was hiding inside a box inside Southshore Inn. When i went near it a giant exclamation mark appeared on its head and it slithered outside and despawned.
