Villains of Darrowshire

Bring the Skull of Horgus and the Shattered Sword of Marduk to Carlin Redpath at Light's Hope Chapel.

Description

The Annals of Darrowshire tells of the villains of that battle. It tells how the ghoul lord Horgus the Ravager was destroyed by Alliance forces during the battle. His body was cast into a lake, northwest of Corin's Crossing, and his skull remains there.

Marduk the Black was never defeated, but his fabled sword was shattered and lost. It lies at the bottom of the gorge west of Corin's Crossing.

Retrieve these items, <name>. I know not why, but I am certain their fate lies with you.

You found them! Well done, <name>! These relics hold a power I do not fully understand, a power you will one day harness.

Skull of Horgus:
Travel to Blackwood Lake, located at 51,50. When you go under the water, you will see couple of Spectral Defenders and Spectral Defenders fighting at the bottom. The skull lays between them on the floor of the lake and can be taken without incident.

Sword of Marduk:
Travel to the Infectis Scar located at 54,70. The sword is found among some Spectral ghosts around 53,65. The sword is also taken without incident.

If you aren't using coordinates:

Follow the road north from Corin's Crossing until you get to the bridge. Go west along the ""scar"" until you reach the hills, you should see Blackwood Lake. The skull is very near to the eastern shore, near some non-hostile ghosts.

Now head southeast back in the direction of Corin's Crossing. On the western edge of the scar are two ""fingers"" that stick out, the sword is closest to the northernmost one. Just jump down, or go around to the ""ramp"" but it's faster just to jump. There are some non-hostile ghosts nearby, and it glows pinkish.

The full quest chain for The Battle of Darrowshire:Villains and Heroes do both need to be completed in order to get Marauders. However, https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=5211 Defenders of Darrowshire (the Uncle Carlin chain) does not need to be completed in order to get to The Battle of Darrowshire.

I have just completed this quest so it is definetly NOT obsolete or removed from the game. come on wowhead, get with it!

The items have moved several times over the years, but the current locations are 39,72 and 37, 60.
