For those curious, I did not receive anything special for using the bonfire in Exodar. There doesn't appear to be any new reward for trying to turn in the flame of Exodar or Silvermoon (since you don't even get one) if you'd done the Thief's Reward quest previously.

I suppose it is obvious if you do a bit of creative searching (there is no listing for the spells Create Flame of Exodar or Silvermoon, nor items Flame of Exodar/Silvermoon), but perhaps not everyone would think of it.

Did it all as 62 hunter.

Thunder Bluff: Not that populated, just know where your going and the only time you may die is upon entrance, once you rez you should be fine

Undercity: Just run in and do it before anyone can react, worked for me xD

Silvermoon City: After the tons of guards at the entrance its an easy run just watch out for guards patrolling the area.

Orgrimmar: This is best done very early in the morning or very late at night when not as many people are on. I didn't know about the back entrance back when I did this, so I don't know what path to take if you use it. But if you take the front entrance the second you pass the little tunnel thats the entrance and you see open space take the road thats most to the left, this will take around the mailbox/AH so you have less of a chance of someone finding you. Then keep going through the drag and keep going and you'll find it. The second you have it hearth or take a death.

I just ran to Silvermoon and was unable to loot anything from their fire. I did have the undercity flame in my inventory. Are you not able to loot more than one citie's fire at a time? Or can I loot all 4 cities?

As a Follow-up do you need to loot silvermoon? or just the other three cities?

Looks like you have to do them at the same day atm.
I did Org, Thunderbluff and Undercity on one day and Silvermoon the next, that didn't work.
That next day I went to all four cities again and was able to steal their flames again.
The flames of Orgrimmar, Thunderbluff and Undercity were again available for handing in, the Silvermoon flame wasn't.
After handing in the remaining 3 flames I was finally awarded the next quest.

Doesn't seem like the intended way of doing it, but at least it works...

2 days ago, i did all the firestealing quests on my then level 51 shaman and reviced https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=23323#reward-from The Crown of the Fire Festival.
Today when i logged in, blizzard had reseted all the bonfirequests due to people doing these quests last year couldn't recive flowers for the achivements, and the same with the https://vanillawowdb.com/?quest=9365 A Thief's Reward quest, so now i got https://vanillawowdb.com/?item=23323#reward-from The Crown of the Fire Festival x2 :O
So if you did this quest before the bonfire resets, you can recive 2 Crowns, for no use ofc, but anyway :)

The Festival Loremaster you're looking for to hand in the quests is located near the bonfire in one of your capitol cities. For example near the Stockade entrance in Stormwind.

I captured all of the horde flames. I accepted all the quests and turned them in, not all at the same time though. After, when i was going to get this quest and complete it, the Loremaster wouldn't give me the quest. IT's like i didn't do anything but when i capture the major flames again, it says ""You have already completed this quest."" I am very angry that i am not able to get the title and want to know if anyone else ran into the same one.

Can someone confirm that the Stealing quests must be completed on the same day or turned into the same Loremaster?

If you don't need wintergraps marks, then a good time to go for the harder cities (Orgrimmar) is during WG, because the cities tend to be less populated during that time.

I just completed this quest, no problems. Did two cities yesterday (UC & SMoon) and two today (TB and Org). Went to a LoreMaster and got the quest, turned in and got the crown.

Run up to the blue flame in each city, click on it and a ""flame"" will go into your bag. Right click the flame and it will give you a quest to go to a LoreMaster. Go to a LoreMaster and turn in each quest. He then gives you the Thief's Reward Quest, which you turn in immediately.

I hope the issue has been resolved for other servers.

Got all the flames as a lowbie druid, was working on the flames so I figured I would get some badass consumables and xp from the cities as well, they are in the area. I captured all flames, turned them all in but as a lvl 29, the festival loremaster WILL NOT give you the quest to get you achivement/crown. Think they should fix the ""Requires lvl 1"" under the details at the top of this page

The quests for this series are obtained by simply clicking on the bonfire at the opposing faction capital cities. You will ""create"" a flame from their fire, and that flame gives you the quest. Turn in the quests to the Loremaster at one of your capital cities and you are done.

Just completed the 2011 edition. My first Midsummer by the way!

Here are the 2011 locations of the HORDE bonfires:

Orgrimmar: Valley of Wisdom. Middle/North, close to the north wall. I found many players tossing torches, so you might want to go at slow server times! I dropped in flying, got the flame, and got killed by a few lvl 85s. Rezzed at cemetary.

Thunder Bluff: Spirit Rise. West side, edge of bluff. I found it empty, no enemy players there. I dropped in flying, got the flame, sprung 1 guard, killed him, flew away. Easy!

Silvermoon: Court of the Sun. Almost immidiately on you left when leaving Murder Row. I found no players here, but it's deep inside Silvermoon, so beware! Also, there is NO FLYING allowed in this area! I went in on ground mount, just ran past all guards (and past the flame...), finally found and got the flame, sprung 1 guard, killed him, ran away. Easy, if you know where the flame is and you might want to go at slow server times since it is deep in the city.

Undercity: This one I can't really remember. It's on the outside on the left. Dropped in flying, got flame, flew away. Extremely easy, maybe that's why I don't remember the exact location. ;-)

The crown has a very crappy effect by the way. But the quest is fun. Good luck to all!

Here are all the coordinates if you are an Alliance going for this achievement. Just paste the following into a macro, it will give you the coordinates even if you aren't in that zone.

TOMTOM:
/way Undercity 68.55 8.81
/way Silvermoon 69.24 42.65
/way Orgrimmar 46.11 37.40
/way Thunder 21.54 27.29

Best route is as shown. Fly to plaguelands, ride to Undercity, then goto Silvermoon. Hearth to Stormwind, fly to Booty Bay (or port to blasted lands and fly to Booty Bay from there). Once in Booty bay take boat to Ratchet. Fly to Orgrimmar then goto Thunderbluff... hearth back to SW, achievement finished!

TIPS: When flying over Orgrimmar fly high so guards don't spot you. Fly over to the valley of heroes (where tomtom marker is) and wait till the 4 flying guards fly past under you (stay high enough up) then fly down and get the ember. If you wait for guards to go past you should not get tagged and should be able to remount and fly off.

Silvermoon: This one is a pain for non stealth classes since you can't fly over the city with a flying mount. Best thing to do is run in the entrance and use a speed boost to try and outrun the guards. Watch out for the constructs they can see through stealth and are a pain in the butt to lose. With a speed buff you should be able to outrun them though. If all else fails run to the AH and jump onto the table, the guards will reset aggro if you are on table.

Gl on the achievement!

The title ""the Firelord"" would much more suitable for completing this.

""I dont know why, but i cant get this quest..."" - And yes, there is no pre-quest from npc ""go get four flames of enemy cities, then go back to me"". Just go, take the flames and in your inventory they will have an excalamation mark ""this item begins a quest"", start it and go back to the loremaster in a capital at whom u will finish it.

Here is an update on this quest. This has so far been one of the biggest pain in the butt quests I have had to try and figure out. All four cities (for alliance) Orgrimmar, Silvermoon, Thunderbluff and Undercity must be collected! You do not get the quest first, you have to get the flame first then the quest item (flame) will appear in your bag which then becomes the quest. After you collect the flame, open your bags and click on the quest item (flame) it will show an ! mark showing ""this item becomes a quest"". Then just turn it in to the Loremaster in your major city and collect your rewards. I had a hard time trying to figure this one out, so I hope this helps! Once you collect all four flames and turn them in you will open up the final quest from the Loremaster, you just click on it and accept and there you will have your crown!

Also, the Orgrimmar flame is in the Valley of Wisdom, very easy to get once you know where it is, you can fly in from above. Try early in the morning when no one is awake :P. Thunderbluff is in the Spirit Rise and Undercity is right near the front gates to the left inside the city, it helps to get it if you can fly in from above. Silvermoon is actually inside the city and is the hardest one to get since you cannot fly anywhere there. If you look on the map it is to the left of the Court of the Sun, I was attacked by the guards inside even though stealthed, but they go down easy enough if there aren't any players that get in the fight :P Again, hope this helps anyone trying to figure this one out.

Alliance's Guide to Getting ""A Thief's Reward"": Cataclysm/MoP Edition

Flying mounts make getting into opposing faction's cities just that much easier. Just watch out for those flying guards, those bastards'll knock you off your mount. As such, this guide assumes that you have a flying mount and can use it wherever it can be used.. This guide, however, does not assume you'll live through each attempt, and will offer strategies for you to get back on your feet should you die.

Undercity [67.8, 8.7]: Pretty simple, as long as other players don't interfere. It's in the ruins of Lordaeron, outside the entrance to the main city. There are no flying guards outside of the underground part of the Undercity, AND there are no guards in this area, so just swoop down from your flyer and collect your prize. You won't die unless it's by the hand of players, so if they kill you, wait around as a ghost until they get bored and leave, or go to the opposite side of the fire and ninja it before they can react.

Silvermoon [69.1, 43.5] : You'll have to go right across the city to get this one, it's over near the area where the bosses are. If you don't play a class that can stealth, mount up, and ride like hell through the shortest possible route to the fire. If you're level 90 it's easy enough to do, even more so if you're well-geared. If you're lower than say, level 85, prepare for one long corpse run. If you have access to abilities that grant you faster mount speed, use them. If you die after getting the fire, don't bother going through all that again, just spirit rez. If you die on the way to getting the fire, here's a few safe places you should be able to rez and mount up again without attracting guard attention:
- The back corridor of the Wayfarer's rest [68.5, 76.2]
- The little cloth-roofed patio in front of an unused doorway [73.6, 65.5]
- The inside of the divider between the Walk of Elders and Murder Row
- Between a cart and the wall on the east side of Murder Row near the inn [77.8, 55.5]
- The entrance to the warlock trainers on the east side of murder row [76.5, 44.0]
Once you get to the fire, dismount and cut down the guards (if possible), then take it. If you die here, rez between the fire and the nearby tree to get it without people noticing.
Those attempting stealth runs should take note that right by the entrance is a https://vanillawowdb.com/?npc=18103/arcane-guardian Arcane Guardian and getting past him without being spotted will prove quite a challenge.

Thunder Bluff [21.6, 26.7] : Right next to the Orgrimmar Zeppelin. Same deal as Undercity, as there are no flying guards over this part of Thunder Bluff, just swoop down and claim your fire. Do not approach from the Zeppelin side, or try and get the fire from that side, as there are guards there who won't appreciate your presence and interrupt you getting the fire. However, if you want you can leave that way if a Zepplin is there, as once you're on it, the guards can't get you. I'd probably disembark before it gets to Orgrimmar though, as it can fly straight through several groups of flying guards there and they CAN attack you on the Zeppelin.

Orgrimmar [46.2, 37.7]: You want to avoid killing anything here at all, as on many realms, Orgrimmar has a ready and willing bunch of level 90 players, who will be all over you 30 seconds after the ""Orgrimmar is under attack!"" message goes out. What you'll want to do is fly in, high up to avoid guards, but close enough to see the ground. Once you spot the Zeppelin Towers, fly north. Next to a waterfall and a set of palm trees is the fire. Land on the west-facing side and pick it up. Then either hearth home, or mount up again, remembering to watch the skies for guards, then fly up as high as possible then leave. If you die, run back, and wait a few minutes for people to leave, then rez and take your fire. If you die after getting it, just spirit rez.

Good luck all.
